The photovoltaic power plant for the NGK Ceramics Polska

01 October 2024

A large-scale photovoltaic power plant with a total capacity of 11.6 MW is being built in Dąbrowa Górnicza for a production facility belonging to NGK Ceramics Polska – a Japanese automotive components manufacturer. This environmentally friendly investment will cover part of the energy demand resulting from NGK’s production activities. The power plant is expected to produce 11,600 MWh of energy annually. The project is part of the NGK Group’s global plan to achieve carbon neutrality by switching to renewable energy, including by means of photovoltaics.

On a plot of land with an area of 130,000 sqm, we are installing about 20,000 panels with a total area of approximately 51,000 sqm, as well as the installations serving the power plant: two transformer stations and an MV substation. As part of the general contracting, Kajima Poland also developed the detailed design, the construction design of the project and obtained the environmental decision. The photovoltaic power plant for the NGK Ceramics Polska plant will be an important item in our portfolio of RES-type projects.
