In Warsaw, in the area of the revitalised City Point Targowek, for Peakside Capital Advisors, we have completed the construction of a city logistics and warehouse centre for DPD Polska. A number of elements of the facility will enable a leading provider of courier services and e-commerce solutions to provide fast, efficient and environmentally friendly services in Warsaw and the surrounding area, thanks to, among others, 78 courier stations for loading and unloading courier cars. The DPD Warszawa 44 branch has a low-emission fleet of electric cars that can be charged using as many as 20 chargers with two sockets each.
According to the client’s requirements, Kajima Poland has prepared the facility for BREEAM Excellent and LEED Gold certification, as well as for the WELL Health & Safety rating. The building is equipped with an energy consumption monitoring system, an addressable lighting control system with daylight harvesting and a photovoltaic system. These and other solutions will enable the tenant to reduce energy consumption. What is also important for Warsaw is the fact that the DPD logistics and warehouse centre was built on a modernised post-industrial area.
