The two-storey IKEA store, built by Kajima Poland, is the largest store of this chain in Poland. A number of modern, pro-ecological solutions have been applied here, among others from the sanitary sector. The building is heated by geothermal energy, rainwater is used in the sewerage system, and heat from refrigerators serving the restaurant is used to heat water. The building is built according to very high safety and health requirements and has won a distinction in the competition Build Safe 2012 (organizer: National Labour Inspectorate).
