The BTS (build to suit) distribution centre in Stargard with a total area of 87,000 sqm has been constructed in accordance with the specifications of Panattoni and the tenant – TEDi (a German retail chain). Besides the warehouse and logistics part, the facility includes as much as 3.700 sqm of office space. As its general contractor, Kajima Poland supervised the preparation of the facility for BREEAM certification.
Sometimes during the construction carried out in a given region, we also learn about its history. That was the case there as well. Before World War II, it was the site of the German airport Klützow bei Stargard, and after the war, until 1992, Soviet troops were stationed there. Having been demolished and crumbled, one of the runways was used as aggregate for the construction of paved surfaces around the hall (internal roads, car parks, manoeuvring areas, etc.). 100%, i.e. 4,000 tonnes, of the obtained debris was used.
