The package of preparatory works for the construction of the Viessmann Technika Grzewcza production plant covered an area of 180,000 sqm and included: removal of humus, demolition of old concrete surfaces (including an abandoned airport runway), soil remediation, and the construction of a platform with an area of 47,000 sqm on which the production hall will be built.

As many as 240 geothermal boreholes with a depth of 100 m were also drilled to support future ground source heat pumps to heat the production building (RES). The crushed stone obtained after the demolition of the concrete slabs of the former airport was used to make roads and temporary squares for the purposes of future facility construction.
