The modern Frigo Logistics Distribution Centre is designed for the warehousing distribution service of frozen food products. It consists of three freezer buildings connected by transport locks: an automatic High-Bay Warehouse (over 36 m high), a Distribution Warehouse and Expedition Zone. The project also includes a comfortable, air-conditioned, three-story office building with a lift and several technical facilities, including a machine room serving the freezer rooms.
Due to its specificity, the project is technologically complex and based on unusual solutions in the field of construction technique and cooling technology. It is equipped with, among others, a cooling system with ammonia as a cooling agent (down to -24OC), a glycol-based heating system to heat the ground under the freezer rooms (the heat for heating is recovered from the freezer room cooling process), a system reducing the oxygen level (High-Bay) and a hot water system where water is heated by solar panels (office building). The complex of three reduced-temperature buildings has three separate fire zones.
