At the request of Panattoni and for the needs of TEDi – a German retail chain – we have completed the construction of BTS Distribution Centre in Stargard. Its size is impressive – 87 000 sqm under the roof (including offices – 3,700 sqm).
Sometimes during the construction, we learn an interesting history of a given site. That was the case here as well. Before World War II, it was the site of the German airport Klützow bei Stargard, and after the war, until the 1990s, Soviet troops were stationed there. Having been demolished, one of the runways of this airport was used as aggregate for the construction of paved surfaces (internal roads, car parks, manoeuvring areas, etc.). We used 100% of the debris, i.e. 4,000 tonnes! This will allow us to obtain additional points in the BREEAM certification of this facility.
